On Saturday, September 8, the Louisiana Children’s Museum welcomes RiverWorks Discovery, an interactive traveling exhibit that explores commerce, culture and conservation on America’s inland waterways. The day will include special activities and entertainment from 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. Make floating cork boats and learn to tie nautical knots. Meet special guests from the U.S. Coast Guard who will share information about water safety. At 1:00 p.m., listen to local “water-inspired” jazz and folk singer-songwriter, Sarah Quintana, who will sing songs about the Mississippi River.
From Saturday, September 8 through Sunday, December 16, the Louisiana Children’s Museum will host RiverWorks Discovery, an interactive and educational traveling exhibit designed to teach the importance of commerce, culture and conservation on America’s inland waterways.
